Freya

Freya is one of the happiest dogs you could ever hope to meet. The best way I can describe her is that “every day is Christmas” with her. Dhe approaches life with so much excitement, enthusiasm, and joy that it is impossible not to smile around her. She is incredibly affectionate, loves human company, and is just as happy curled up on the sofa for a cuddle as she is out training, working, or exploring.

She is a loving and biddable working line Golden Retriever with a fantastic pedigree behind her, and many of the qualities you would hope to see in the breed come naturally to her. Freya has a soft, gentle temperament and genuinely never wants to disappoint. She is eager to please, highly trainable, and an absolute pleasure to work with, making her a very easy dog to live with day to day.

Freya is currently training in obedience and field work with Daniel and has achieved her Kennel Club Good Citizen Bronze Award. She especially loves agility, where her enthusiasm and athleticism really shine through, and during the shooting season she also enjoys picking-up on our local shoot. She throws herself into everything with a brilliant attitude and is always happy to be involved.

One of the things I am most proud of with Freya is the temperaments she passes on to her puppies. Her pups have gone on to become wonderful family companions, with some also working as autism assistance dogs, which reflects her kind, intuitive, and people-focused nature beautifully.
